Shaking off the cobwebs and backtracking a bit...

I can't really say why its been so long since I've posted cause I don't really know.  Too many life changes perhaps.  Whatever the reason, I have been busy with photos the last few days and it felt like a good time to post.  I will start by posting a few photos from last fall.  It has to be that way because this senior photo shoot began my acquaintance with the familia H.  We did a "service swap", you might say, and it turned out to be a great trade :)  This young man is now graduated and soon will be serving a mission--time flies!!!

The fashionable E

As a Christmas gift we gave our sister E a gift certificate for a photo shoot and four months later it was actually warm enough (above freezing) to go out and take some pictures.  This lady is "muy fashion" and I love her.  Thanks for being such a trooper lady, you have amazing eyes and cheek bones and I love it--way to work it!  (Tyra would like your "fierceness")

The Lovely Miss S

This girl is a best bud of my little sis and consequently she's practically family.  We've been trying to get these pictures taken for a while and I'm glad we finally got them done and I think this girl is just beautiful.  Without further ado (spelling) here are some samples of my photo session with the lovely Miss S.

We had a fun adventure off shooting some photos and even saw a dog driving a car...random.  Thats definitely not safe and kinda weird...

Dr T

So men in general do not like having their picture taken, its hard to get them to enjoy the experience.  With this in mind you can tell how much this guy loves his mother because she has been bugging him to give her an updated picture and I happen to be his sister so he finally broke down and let me take a few shots.  The whole experience reminded me of one of my favorite movies:

[Deb is making a glamour shot of Uncle Rico]
Deb: Okay, turn you head on more of a slant...
[all three turn their heads in a slant]
Deb: Now, make a fist. Slowly ease it up underneath your chin.
[all three slowly ease up fists under their chins]
Deb: This is looking really good.
Kip: You can say that again.
[Uncle Rico acknowledges]
Deb: Kay, hold still right there. Now, just imagine you're weightless, in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by tiny little seahorses.
[Uncle Rico pictures it and give a gleaming look at the camera]
Deb: [takes the picture] That was the one. I think that's gonna come out really nice.
Uncle Rico: Ah, how you did it... wow... well I felt really relaxed. Thanks Deb.
[Uncle Rico puts his fist down, then swats a fly]
Uncle Rico: You're up Kip.
Kip: Is there some kind of vest that I can wear?
[makes gesture of putting on a vest]
So I don't know if by bro T was able to imagine the tiny little seahorses but we did end up with some nice shots.  Any way the Mother will be happy!

Grandma B

So my hubby's Grandma is having a big birthday party next week and my mother-in-law wanted a picture of her mom for the announcement.  I loaded up my two boys and we headed over to Grandma B's home for a photo shoot.  My boys love Grandma B and as we were leaving my oldest said "mom, I want to come here again".  She is such a beautiful woman and I had to post my most favorite picture from our time together this morning.  Happy Birthday Grandma B!

Its Senior Picture Time!!!  This guy acted like he didn't like having his picture taken, but with a face like that I am sure he was just being modest.  What a handsome guy!  Good luck on your senior year!

This girl was a trooper...considering I made her go out in the cold fall morning to take pictures at sun up!  She was pretty dang cute for 7:00 in the morning, I was impressed.  I have so many favorites but here are a few.  And just as a little side note...yes I am a linear burn junky and I'm not afraid to admit it.   I love doing it!  (if you're confused I'm talking about the black burn outline on the photos...I love it)

What a beautiful girl, so photogenic.  It was a blast taking these pictures.  She totally worked  the white boots the yellow boxes and that gorgeous red hair...oh my!  Awesome!
